AEUS Since we believe the Statute of Student fills a historical demand of student representation in our country legally equating student representatives to the other academic categories and social groups. We see it as necessary, recognizing the rights and obligations of students, ensuring our participation in the English educational system.
We highly value the establishment of the University Student Council of State, which articulates a channel of communication, coordination, control of debate and very important and essential tool to ensure a state university policy according to the views and demands of students university. Student
Statute embodies the right the students to participate in the control and management of institutions of public funded education.
Now it is most important, the deployment of the entire law, being all those representative bodies, that after the entry into force of the rule, the Statute of Student.
Although we would have liked also that in its preparation had involved a greater number of groups and associations representing students. What would have led to a more fundamental debate for the future.
One of the negative assessments we want to express, is the equal of the private university with regard to public entities in terms of representation in the University Student Council of State. In many private universities of our country down in its statutes and serious participation channels minimally established, some of them are not even recognized student representatives and voted on by direct universal suffrage, or associations formed for that purpose, which attend the various electoral processes, allowing democratic representation, which guarantees the will of the majority. We therefore believe that there is a weakness in terms of representation that may have future University Student Council of State. See also fundamental
enhance the representation students in our universities, none of this makes sense if those who represented the students, do not want to be representatives, or those entitled to vote does not go to the polls to support the candidate they really want to represent them in the different organs government.
Our partnership (AEUS), not only is working towards the understanding of student representation on the part of students, but we also have a commitment to transparency with our partners in the work we develop, they need to know what and we do listen to what we are asked to make. We see positive
Student Status as a start, but we need to work in its development and improvement.
